prayer for vocations

World Day of Prayer will be observed on Sunday, April 17th, also known as "Good Shepherd Sunday." The purpose of this day is to publically fulfill the Lord's instruction to, "Pray the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into his har-vest" (Mt 9:38; Lk 10:2).

What: The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed from 3 to 4 p.m. For a Holy Hour to pray that young men and women hear and respond generously to the Lord’s call to the Priesthood, diaconate, religious life, societies of apostolic life or secular institutes. A spaghetti dinner follows from 4 to 5 p.m. We will recognize and honor the consecrated women and men working in our Diocese. 

Where: at Holy Redeemer Parish in Yakima Washington—1707 South 3rd Avenue, Yakima Washington 98902

When: Sunday April 17 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm
