Mission Statement:
Our mission is to: empower catholic young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ through a responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the church; to promote their personal and spiritual growth for our young people; and to provide leadership and vision for youth ministry in the Diocese of Yakima.
Organization of the Youth & Young Adult Ministry
The Youth & Young Adult Ministry office has a director and one assistant. The director is Elizabeth Torres and the assistant is Lily Loza.
The Youth & Young Adult Ministry Office has a Diocesan Youth Council which helps to plan the activities for the youth in the diocese and to represent the youth throughout the Diocese of Yakima.
Goals:
a) Develop and reestablish the Diocesan Youth Council
b) Produce bi-monthly newsletter: Youth Newsletter
c) Increase communication and collaboration with priests, youth ministers and youth leaders
d) Plan and develop the Youth Convention (bilingual event)
e) Plan and develop various retreats and rallies
f) Offer an annual training for youth ministers

7) Diocesan Youth Convention

10) Support to the parish by identifying resources, further education, ect.
