Three College Scholarships Awarded

The Central Washington Catholic Foundation awards three scholarships each year.  The Mary Ellen Chott-Mahre Memorial Scholarship is dedicated to the memory of Mary Ellen Chott-Mahre and is funded by her husband David R. Mahre and their nine children.   The student who is awarded this scholarship will be active in a Roman Catholic community, planning to or presently attending a Catholic university, and living in the Diocese of Yakima.

The John Rodriguez-Kranz Scholarship is dedicated to the memory of John Francisco Rodriquez-Kranz.  His ideals and values exemplified his compassion, generosity, and dedication to God, family, Davis High School, and the greater Yakima community. The student who is awarded this scholarship will be a graduating senior of A. C. Davis High School with a 2.5+ GPA and planning to attend an accredited vocational school, college or university.

The Celebration of Faith Scholarship is awarded to a student from the Diocese of Yakima who is attending, or plans to attend, a Catholic college or university and demonstrates a commitment to serve the church through past activities and future plans and goals.  Current recipients will be eligible to reapply and will compete with new applicants.

La Fundación Católica de Washington Central concede dos becas cada año. La Beca Conmemorativa Mary Ellen Chott-Mahre es dedicada a la memoria de Mary Ellen Chott-Mahre y es financiada por su marido David R. Mahre y sus nueve hijos. El estudiante a quien concedan esta beca será activo en una comunidad católica, planeando o actualmente asistiendo a una universidad católica, y viviendo en la Diócesis de Yakima.

La Beca John Rodriguez-Kranz es dedicada a la memoria de John Francisco Rodriquez-Kranz. Sus ideales y valores ejemplificaron su compasión, generosidad, y dedicación a Dios, a la familia, a la Escuela Davis High, y a la gran comunidad de Yakima. Al estudiante a quien concedan esta beca será un graduado de la Escuela A. C. Davis High con un GPA de 2.5 + y este  planeando asistir a una escuela profesional acreditada, colegio o universidad.

La Beca de Celebración de Fe es otorgada a un estudiante de la Diócesis de Yakima que está asistiendo o planea asistir, a un colegio o universidad católica y demuestra un compromiso para servir a la iglesia a través de actividades anteriores y futuros planes y metas. Receptores actuales serán elegibles para volver a aplicar y competirán con los nuevos solicitantes.
