Bishop Joseph Tyson has announced the following changes in priest assignments, effective in October 2015:

1)    Rev. Mauricio Muñoz, parochial vicar of Saint Joseph Parish in Wenatchee,  will become parochial vicar of Saint Paul Cathedral Parish in Yakima on Monday, October 5.  

2)    Rev. Teodulo Taneo, parochial vicar of Holy Apostles Parish in East Wenatchee, with ministry at Saint Joseph Parish in Waterville, will become parochial vicar of Saint Joseph Parish in Wenatchee on October 1.  He will travel to Morelia, Michoacán in Mexico October 5 to study Spanish, returning Friday, December 18. 

3)    Rev. Henry Rufo, a priest of the Archdiocese of Portland, will become parochial vicar of Holy Apostles Parish in East Wenatchee, with service at Saint Joseph Parish in Waterville, on October 1.  Ordained in 2001, Father Rufo has been accepted for a period of service of up to five years, with the possibility of incardination in the Yakima Diocese.   

4)   Father Jacob Davis, a priest of the Diocese of Yakima who has served as a U.S. Army Chaplain for the past three years, has been appointed parochial vicar of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Grandview, effective December 1, 2015. Father Davis has been granted a medical retirement from the Army, the result of stressful combat zone conditions while serving in the Middle East last December.
