A Catholic Study on the Book of Revelation

The Greek word for “Revelation” literally means “unveiling.”  However, after reading through the Book of Revelation some might desire to put the veil back on.  The Dragon, the beasts, the horsemen, a killer lamb, the lake of fire, the false prophet, the harlot – its almost too frightening to bear!  Furthermore, according to popular interpretation, it seems that it is all about the end of the world.  Or is it?  Who are the twenty-four elders and the 144,000?  How are we to interpret the thousand year reign, the sea of glass, and the four living creatures?   What is the real message of Revelation?  The answers to these questions will be given in this Seminar.  In this Seminar, we will dive into the mystery and take a closer look at what exactly God is unveiling about Himself and His plan for the world.  This study will take place within the heart of the Church, faithfully following the criteria laid out by the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the Second Vatican Council for studying Scripture:  a) content and unity of Scripture; b) The Church’s Living Tradition; c) The analogy of faith!  Please join us as we cut through the confusion and reveal the rich tapestry of prophecy, history and allusion found in St. John’s vision recounted in the book of Revelation.
