Canonizations Highlight Year of Faith

Dear Friends:

Attached is an article regarding the canonizations on Sunday, October 21 that I was privileged to attend with pilgrims from the Diocese of Yakima.  The article nicely notes how the Holy Father aligned this celebration with the "Year of Faith" and its call for a fuller expression of the "New Evangelization."  Each of the seven saints canonized by the Church this last Sunday participated in profound ways in building up the faith and evangelizing the cultures in which they lived.  Read here to learn more about this latest canonization: Seven Saints for the New Evangelization
