Pastors and Boookkeepers Meeting Material

Dear Friends:

I again want to thank so many of you who attended last weeks pastor-book keeper day on stewardship.  This was Alma Benitez's first event and her first opportunity to get to know many of you.  I want to thank her for organizing so many logistics.  I am also grateful to our outgoing director Father Brooks Beaulaurier for working so effectively during this transition period.

As we move towards the upcoming Annual Catholic Appeal, I would like to bring to your attention a fine article that Father Miguel Gonzalez wrote for his Sunday bulletin.  He was recently in Chicago at the annual stewardship conference sponsored by the International Stewardship Council.  So was our new stewardship director Alma Benitez. Also, Alma has prepared a number of resource for your review coming off that day.  You might consider using some of these PowerPoints with your own parish leadership as you orient them into this fall's Annual Catholic Appeal.  Ultimately I hope this spurs some solid conversation and reflection about your own local parish's stewardship efforts.
